Why use the database?
Our goal in producing this database is to provide an
additional tool for breeders to make informed breeding decisions. We would also
like to encourage you to visit The
Leonberger Database where you will find additional photos and hip scores
on older dogs that may not be found here. The pedigree and health data that
is printed here, has been gathered through public domain sources, or given directly
to this project with permission for use in the database. Two programs were used
in the collection of data: Breedmate's
Pedigree Explorer and Kynoinfo.
If you find corrections that need to be made, please use the form for corrections. If you have new information to add, or new entries for Leonbergers who are not yet listed in the database, please use the area of the form for new submissions/additions. Corrections and submissions/additions can only be made by the owner or the breeder of the dog. If you notice an error, please notify the owner or breeder of the dog. The information made available from this database is "As is," and the Database team makes no warranty, express or implied, or assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any such information. The Database team shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever that may arise out of the use of this database.
Using
the database search feature:
The database can be searched by a name or a partial name of a
dog, kennel, owner, breeder and also by registration number, or identification
number (tattoo or microchip number). If you do not get a result from one search,
try another. If you are having trouble finding a dog using the entire name in
the search, try a partial name. If you want to find a dog that has accent marks
or diacritical's (ä â æ ÿ ø ñ and others)
listed in the name, but you don't know how to type them in, search for the portion
of the name that doesn't have the diacritical, or copy and paste the name into
the search field. If you are copy and pasting, make sure there is not an empty
space in the search field before the name or number. If you need additional
help in using the database, please e-mail ileodata@gmail.com and try to explain
in English what problems you are having.
